Object removal creates a plausible reconstruction from nearby visual context; it cannot reveal the exact scene hidden behind an object. Large selections, repeated textures and complex reflections may need another attempt.
Object removal suits small distractions such as a stray item on a table or an unwanted object behind a portrait. Unlike background removal, it keeps the surrounding scene and fills the area you mark. Choose the smallest useful selection that covers the complete distraction rather than painting over unrelated details.
Include an unwanted object’s shadow when it would otherwise remain visible. After processing, inspect straight lines, repeating patterns and nearby edges for mismatches. A large obstruction may require more reconstruction than the surrounding image can support; the generated fill is a plausible scene, not recovered evidence.
A simple workflow

Remove the selection, compare the result and save your photo.
You choose the area with the brush and can refine it with the eraser. Review the generated result for changes around the selection.
